Little Athletics
Little Athletics offers children aged 5 to 16 a morning of running, jumping, throwing, all in the pursuit of healthy living and fun- filled competition. Little Athletics is open to young athletes of all abilities - first timers and seasoned athletes alike.
Our program provides an array of athletic events including sprinting, middle distance running, hurdling, walking, jumping (long, triple and high), and throwing (discus, shot put and javelin). For more information please visit All About Corroboree.

Christmas Party
The Christmas Party was held on Saturday 17 December 2011. A fun day was had by all with many of our athletes getting into the spirit of things. The morning was capped off by a visit from Santa arriving on the back of a ute! More photos in our photo gallery.



















Level 2 Coaching Course
The Level 2 Club Coach course will be held on  4-5 February 2012 at the AIS. This program is designed to develop fundamental skills and drills, and understanding of the basic technical models for the events required for participation in athletics at club and school competition. Prior to commencing the Level 2 – Club Coach program, participants must have completed the Level 1 Beginning Coach. Application forms must be submitted by Friday 27 January. Hunter Track Classic 2012: U14 athletes
The Hunter Track Classic is a Grand Prix style meet attracting some of the best athletes from across Australia. The Hunter Track Classic is for U14 registered athletes and will be held at the Glendale Athletic Centre, Stockland Drive, Glendale, NSW 2285 on Saturday 21st January 2012. The main program is from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Queanbeyan Little Athletics Carnival
Queanbeyan Little Athletics Centre will also hold a carnival on Sunday 29th January 2012 - Details in the flyer or head to www.qlac.org.au.
 
Lanyon Carnival
The Lanyon Carnival will be held on Sunday 12 February 2012 commencing at 9.00am at the Banks oval. Entry is open to athletes currently registered with a Little Athletics centre. Athletes may compete in a maximum of 5 events. An entry of $5.00 per event or $20.00 for all 5 events, must accompany all entries. Medals will be awarded in each final to the first three place-getters. All athletes will receive participation ribbons. Entries close Friday 3 February. Combined Event Championships: 12 years and above
ACT Athletics will host the Combined Event Championships on 18 and 19 February at the AIS. The event is open to all athletes 12 years and older. For more details, including entry fees and the program of events, please click on the link above.
 
ALAC 2012, Hobart: U13 and U15 athletes
The Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) will be held in Hobart on 19-23 April 2012. U13 and U15 registered athletes can nominate for selection to represent the ACT. Nomination forms need to be completed by Friday 17 February 2012. U15 Multi Trials will be held on Sunday 26 February 2012 at the Woden Athletic Park with competition commencing at 10am.
