These sessions aim to provide technical instruction and guidance in a fun, positive environment. If you already have your own coach, you should consult your coach before registering for this program.
Ages: Under 12 to 15 Little A’s age group or 12-15 years of age
Cost: $80 per block for ACTLAA members or $100 for non members                       Athletes must also purchase the training tickets for use of AIS track
Location: AIS Track, Bruce
Session Time: Tuesday 5.30-6.30pm
Coaches: Melissa Breen, Lauren Boden plus Tom Burbidge and Ollie Wurm

ACT Athletics - senior competitions
ACT Athletics runs a Summer Series of competitions throughout the summer months.  Meets are open to registered Little Athletics athletes who turn 12 years of age prior to the end of 2011. Meets are held at the AIS Track and programs vary from meet to meet.

Inter Club meets
Inter Club meets are run in line with the Little Athletics Season. Aimed at athletes aged 12+ it is a great opportunity for our older athletes to meet other athletes and challenge themselves.
 
Australian Little Athletics Championships
The Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) will be held in Hobart on 19-23 April 2012. U13 and U15 registered athletes can nominate for selection to represent the ACT. Nomination forms need to be completed by Friday 17 February 2012. U15 Multi Trials will be held on Sunday 26 February 2012 at the Woden Athletic Park with competition commencing at 10am. Further information, including criteria for selection and costs, is in the ALAC brochure.

Combined Event Championships
ACT Athletics will host the Combined Event Championships on 18 and 19 February at the AIS. The event is open to all athletes 12 years and older. For more details, including entry fees and the program of events, please click on the link above.

The Hunter Track Classic 2012
The Hunter Track Classic is a Grand Prix style meet attracting some of the best athletes from across Australia. The event showcases the elite alongside Little Athletes from the ACT, Tasmania and the Hunter Region, masters and professionals in a three hour action packed program. 

The 2012 Hunter Track Classic will be a part of the National Athletic Series which will support the best athletes in the country in their bid to compete at the London Olympic Games. The Hunter Track Classic is for U14 registered athletes and will be held at the Glendale Athletic Centre, Stockland Drive, Glendale, NSW 2285 on Saturday 21st January 2012. The main program is from 6:00 to 9:00pm.

The ACT will be sending a team of 5 girls and 5 boys (i.e. a total of 10 athletes) only. Athletes are asked to submit a verified record of their most recent performance (this could be by reference to results on relevant website). Nomination forms are to submitted to the Little Athletics ACT office by Monday 12th December 2011. Download a copy of the nomination form and brochure.
