Little Athletics
Little Athletics offers children aged 5 to 16 a morning of running, jumping, throwing, all in the pursuit of healthy living and fun- filled competition. Little Athletics is open to young athletes of all abilities - first timers and seasoned athletes alike.
Our program provides an array of athletic events including sprinting, middle distance running, hurdling, walking, jumping (long, triple and high), and throwing (discus, shot put and javelin). For more information please visit All About Corroboree.

Lanyon Carnival
In the southern-most suburb of Canberra, five athletes represented Corroboree at the Lanyon Carnival on Sunday 12 February. With dark clouds and thunderstorms threatening, Dylan, Claire, Lizanne, Simon and Misha competed in several events. They went home with a total of 15 medals, a few PBs and near PBs. Great results and a promising lead up to the next carnival: the Northside Regionals.
Woden Carnival
A handful of keen Corroboree athletes took time out of their summer holidays to compete at the Woden Little Athletics Carnival on 14 January. Overcast weather provided very comfortable conditions for competition and the athletes represented the club extremely well. Check out all those ribbons!

Christmas Party
The Christmas Party was held on Saturday 17 December 2011. A fun day was had by all with many of our athletes getting into the spirit of things. The morning was capped off by a visit from Santa arriving on the back of a ute! More photos in our photo gallery.
Upcoming Events
Northside Regional Championships: U8-U17 athletes
The Northside Regionals will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March at Charnwood Oval, Lhotsky Street, Charnwood. Entry is open to all LAACT-registered U8 to U17 athletes. Entry forms need to be submitted by Sunday 12 February. U9 to U17 athletes must compete in the regional championships to qualify for the LAACT state championships. ALAC 2012, Hobart: U13 and U15 athletes
The Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) will be held in Hobart on 19-23 April 2012. U13 and U15 registered athletes can nominate for selection to represent the ACT. Nomination forms need to be completed by Friday 17 February 2012. U15 Multi Trials will be held on Sunday 26 February 2012 at the Woden Athletic Park with competition commencing at 10am. Further information, including criteria for selection and costs, is in the ALAC brochure.
